Marine Seek Pty Ltd is looking for experienced tourism super stars to join our onboard operations team as Coxswains, Dive Instructors, Cruise Attendants and Tour Managers.
We have a range of positions available for energetic and experienced professionals.
The successful applicants will work on a range of tour experiences, within a team of high calibre professionals ensuring our guest experiences are at the very highest level of service and safety.
Our operations currently include:
Liveaboard style overnight accommodation on Lady Musgrave HQ Pontoon permanently moored in the Lady Musgrave Island coral cay, on the Southern Great Barrier Reef Lady Musgrave Island full day tours departing Bundaberg Port Marina Daily Australia Whale Watching 1/2 day tours departing Bundaberg Port Marina Outer Reef Diving Experiences on the Southern Great Barrier Reef Seasonal guest experiences including snorkelling with manta rays and turtle hatching experiences The successful applicants will have the opportunity to work both on our day tours and as a host/guide for overnight packages and experiences onboard HQ Pontoon reef accommodation.
Marine biology, Master Reef Guide qualifications, Eye on the Reef training, multi-lingual and/or previous experience working on the Great Barrier Reef will be advantageous. Dual role qualifications will be an advantage.

ABOUT THE ROLES: COXSWAIN: About the Role:
Operate Glass Bottom Boat Give educational, informative and engaging commentary about Lady Musgrave Island, the Great Barrier Reef, fish and coral species, sustainable reef protection and eco tourism for the glass bottom boat tours. Island landings for guest drop-offs/pick-ups Assist with snorkel watch and other tour roles as required Clean and maintain all vessels and equipment Provide exceptional customer service to our guests and be willing to be trained over all aspects of the operation and additional vessels. Host overnight guests and large groups What you will bring to the role:
Excellent communication and customer service skills Broad knowledge of the marine environment, particularly coral reef systems Provide an interactive yet safe experience Strong organisational skills A team player attitude Preference may be given to Coxswains who can speak multiple languages. Marine Biology degree or diving certification is an advantage The Following Certifications and Licenses are essential:
Coxswain or higher Advanced Resuscitation / Oxygen Provider (Qld WPHS recognised) CPR (Qld WPHS recognised) Current First Aid (Qld WPHS recognised) Qld valid RSA (or be willing to obtain) Qld valid Blue Card (or be willing obtain) The Following Certifications are Advantageous However not Essential:
Driver's license Experience on passenger/tourism vessels highly regarded Dive Master/Instructor Certification Master Reef Guide Marine Biologist (Bachelor Degree) Eye on the Reef Trained Coral Watch Experience COTs and Drupella control training/experience Covid Cleaning Certificate Food Safety Certificate (or be willing to obtain) Elements of Shipboard Safety DIVE INSTRUCTOR / DIVE MASTER: The successful applicant will be required to work on a range of diving experiences from Introductory Dives through to Advanced Open Water Scuba Diving Courses. You will work as part of a high calibre team of professionals ensuring our guest experience is the very highest level of service and safety. Native, C2 & C1 level English is required, multilingual is advantageous.

PADI or SSI Instructor / Master certification AS 2299 diving medical certificate Dive Instructor / Master Insurances Advanced Resuscitation / Oxygen Provider (Qld WPHS recognised) CPR (Qld WPHS recognised) Current First Aid (Qld WPHS recognised) Qld valid RSA (must be willing to obtain) Qld valid Blue Card (must be willing obtain) The Following Certifications/Qualifications and Licenses are advantageous however not essential:
Driver's license Master Reef Guide Marine Biologist (Bachelor Degree) Eye on the Reef Trained Coral Watch Experience COTs and Drupella control training/experience Covid Cleaning Certificate Food Safety Certificate (must be willing to obtain) CRUISE ATTENDANT: Cruise Attendants work in the galley in food and beverage service on board our Day Tour vessel for both reef tours and whale watch tours as well as HQ and overnight hosted guest experiences. This position is responsible for the preparation and presentation of our morning and afternoon tea and buffet lunch service, as well as barista station and drink service. As an accredited 5 star tourism operation, we uphold a high standard of crew presentation and higher standards of customer service. Previous experience in high calibre restaurants, airline crew, white boat service will be an advantage, however if you can deliver guest services at a consistent high standard and always with a smile, dynamism, attention to the finer details and a 'can do' attitude, we want to hear from you! Don't hesitate - this role is for immediate start. Native, C2 & C1 level English is required, multilingual is advantageous. Living locally is advantageous. A famil is required for this position.

Driver's license Experience on passenger/tourism vessels highly regarded Dive Master/Instructor Certification Master Reef Guide Marine Biologist (Bachelor Degree) Eye on the Reef Trained Coral Watch Experience COTs and Drupella control training/experience TOUR MANAGER: The Tour Manager oversees all on vessel and day tour operations for our award winning, advanced eco certified Southern Great Barrier Reef day tour to the LME HQ pontoon in the Lady Musgrave Island lagoon.
The successful applicant will have a 'can do' attitude and experience in positive and strong team management as well as a passion and commitment for delivering high standard customer service with a smile. You will be required to oversee the time management and running of a range of tour experiences working with a team of high calibre professionals ensuring our guest experiences are of the very highest standards in service and safety. The position requires applicants to reside in Bundaberg area or be willing to relocate. Lady Musgrave Experience tours depart daily from the Bundaberg Port Marina located in Burnett Heads.
The successful applicants will work primarily on our day tours and as a Tour Manager and may have the opportunity to work overnight packages and experiences onboard HQ Pontoon reef accommodation. Overnight shifts whilst hosting liveaboard style charters are based onboard Lady Musgrave HQ Pontoon at Lady Musgrave Island. A famil is required for this position.
