We are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join our Northgate team on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, you will provide accurate and timely financial information to support our wholesale distribution and software businesses across Australia & New Zealand. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a large, head office finance team and be part of a global organisation that makes a positive impact to our vet customers and pet owners.
Your responsibilities will include –
End of month preparation including journals, accruals and balance sheet reconciliations. Providing variance analysis and other supplementary reporting to management and as required for US reporting purposes. Day to Day financial management of our software business and supporting the software team on financial matters. Ownership of processes and P&L accounts associated with fixed assets and operating leases. Responsibility for loading financial information into the US reporting system. Assisting with the preparation of statutory financial statements and liaising with external auditors as required. Assist with completion of surveys for the Australian Bureau of Statistics and other Governing Bodies. Budget preparation and forecasting. Assisting with compliance with global internal control framework. Assisting with various projects and business improvement initiatives. About You Ideally you will display –
Tertiary qualifications in Accounting/Commerce coupled with CA/CPA qualifications (or working towards). Demonstrated three years experience within a large, commercial environment and accounting team. Advanced skills in MS Excel. Well developed interpersonal skills with an ability to adapt your communication to suit different internal stakeholders. Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise your work in an agile way. A positive, proactive attitude with a focus on seeking out continuous improvement opportunities. Why Join Us?
