The Court Officer is responsible for providing an effective registry and information service by advising court users on court practice and procedures, processing incoming registry work, and handling documents lodged.
Please note this is a 12 month position, based at Elizabeth Magistrates Court.
Special conditions:
Appointment is under the Courts Administration Act, 1993 . Terms and Conditions of employment are governed by the Public Sector Act, 2009 . This role is identified as a Prescribed Position and the successful applicant is required to obtain a Working with Children Check (WWCC) prior to employment with the CAA, which must be renewed every five years before expiry. Appointment is dependent upon a current National Police Certificate that the CAA finds satisfactory. As a justice agency, the CAA may receive details of spent convictions as part of any Criminal History Screening and use this information in the selection process. Appointees may be directed to disclose their COVID-19 vaccination status. Eligible for appointment as a Justice of the Peace. May be appointed as a Deputy Registrar pursuant to the Magistrates Court Act 1991 and/or as a Deputy Sheriff pursuant to the Sheriff's Act 1978. Remuneration:
ASO2 ($58,709 to $63,154 per annum + 11.5% superannuation)
