Course Director Film and Animation Australia About the role The Course Director (Film and Animation) is responsible for overseeing the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of a suite of cognate academic courses at SAE.
Reporting to the Dean, the Course Director's primary objectives are: Drive course quality and compliance, including curriculum review and development, ensuring the currency of curriculum to support strong graduate outcomes.
Identifying new opportunities in the market and develop and implement new course and unit proposals.
Lead scholarship and creative practice in the discipline group and establish SAE as a leader in the discipline.
Build relationships with scholars and industry partners which benefit the currency of SAE's curriculum and raise the professional standing of the institute both domestically and globally.
The person we seek will ideally have the following: A doctoral degree or relevant postgraduate qualification AQF 10, or near completion in the field of the course or a closely related discipline.
Excellent understanding of the Higher Education Standards.
A track record in scholarship and/or creative practice in a relevant discipline.
Significant teaching and learning leadership experience at the undergraduate and/or graduate level.
Demonstrated expertise and currency in the subject matter and relevant industry practices.
Experience in curriculum development and assessment design.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

In-depth understanding of effective teaching strategies and pedagogical approaches.
