A Couple Required for Private Coastal Community Managers A small private coastal community approximately 200km from Darwin are seeking expressions of interest from a motivated couple, to operate and maintain the community's essential services and manage the day-to-day operation of the community. The salary on offer includes housing, power and water.
We are seeking a couple for the positions of Site Manager and Assistant Site Manager; successful applicants must be prepared to work in a remote area.
Both these positions are full-time, with a flexible working schedule.
The successful applicants must be self-motivated, have good interpersonal skills and have the skills and ability to undertake the following tasks:
• Operate and maintain a diesel power station including servicing of the engines, perform minor engine maintenance and maintain plant and equipment service logs;
• Ensure engine and alternator maintenance as specified by the manufacturer is undertaken as per their recommend schedules;
• Ensure the workshop, vehicle shed and power station facilities are maintained in a neat and tidy condition;
• Manage power station and community fuel management including ordering and receiving of fuel deliveries;
• Operate and maintain the community water supply system including operating and maintaining bore pumps, variable speed transfer pumps, the community irrigation system and repairs to the water supply reticulation system;
• Operate, maintain and service plant and equipment including 4x4 utilities, small trucks, backhoes, front deck lawn mowers, chain saws as well as a range of workshop equipment;
• Undertake urgent minor maintenance to properties within the community and be able to provide the property owner with a clear understanding of further maintenance required;
• Ensure the security of the community is maintained and must be prepared to remove feral animals which enter the community property;
• Operate within a prescribed budget; and
• Be prepared to obtain a first aid certificate and a gun license.
