About the RoleRuah is proud to be developing the Karlup Service, a holistic, wraparound recovery-based model aimed at supporting women and children to heal from family and domestic violence. The Karlup Service will provide a range of offerings from the Ruah Centre for Women and Children (RCWC), a state-of-the-art purpose-built facility in Perth's CBD.
The purpose of the role of Counsellor (Women) is to improve the short, medium and long term emotional and psychological wellbeing of Karlup Service clients and promote their healing and recovery.
The Karlup Counselling Service will provide professional, non-judgmental counselling to women to assist them to overcome trauma, regain self-agency and rebuild their lives.As a member of a multi-disciplinary team, this role will provide individual counselling and facilitate group programs for women who have experienced family and domestic violence.
This is a full-time and permanent position.
What we're looking forThe successful applicant will be required to meet the following criteria:
