Now, let's talk about this exciting opportunity! The Counsellor will be responsible for holding a caseload and providing specialist counselling support to victims of sexual assault.
This role is a Fixed Term Contract to 30 June 2025 at full time hours. As part of Windermere's flexible ways of working, a 9-day fortnight can be applied for. This truly is a rewarding opportunity for someone with a professional background in counselling and working with victims of sexual assault.
Desired Skills and ExperienceKey Selection Criteria: Tertiary qualifications in counselling, social work, psychology or relevant equivalent.Demonstrated understanding of the impact of trauma and trauma-informed practice.Demonstrated understanding of the impact of sexual assault and family violence.Direct experience providing specialist counselling to victim survivors of sexual assault.Demonstrated assessment skills, including psychosocial assessment and the MARAM framework.Highly developed written and verbal communication skills. Able to maintain consumer files and databases. Ability to prepare written reports.Planning and organising – excellent time management and organisational skills.
