Job Description Are you a dedicated and experienced counsellor passionate about making a positive impact on people's lives?
We invite you to consider an exciting opportunity with our team, where we deliver essential mental health support to individuals and families across diverse settings in the Northern Territory.
About the Role:As a counsellor, you will be integral in delivering services designed to foster supportive and nurturing family relationships.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including family therapy, individual, and group counselling, to children, young people, and adults.Collaborating with various programs to ensure comprehensive support for families.Offering guidance, support, and referrals to address emotional, social, and economic challenges related to family disruptions.What We're Looking For:To thrive in this role, you will need:
A relevant degree or associate diploma, with substantial experience in counselling, social work, or psychology.Proven experience working with children, young people, adults, and families.Professional registration with AASW, PACFA, or ACA, or eligibility to obtain such membership.Demonstrated cultural competence, particularly in working with Indigenous communities.Australian citizenship or unrestricted working rights.A valid police check conducted within the last 12 months.A Working with Children Check (WWCC).A valid driver's license.How to Apply:If you're ready to make a difference, please contact Lorraine at [email protected] or apply through the link below.
