You'll:Deliver high-quality counselling to help clients address a range of issues, including relationship conflict, mental health challenges, domestic violence, addiction and more.Facilitate engaging group sessions, fostering a supportive environment where clients can explore relationship and personal challenges.Observe, assess, and guide group dynamics to encourage respectful interactions, cultural sensitivity, and meaningful connection among participants.Support clients with tailored information, referrals, and resources that promote resilience and overall wellbeing.The details:Contract until 30.6.2026 based in Bathurst.3 days a week - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday (2 days Counselling, 1 day Group Facilitation).Occasional travel required for outreach work.$46 per hour (depending on skills & experience) + 11.5% super + 17.5% leave loading and tax-free salary packaging up to $15,900.Extra annual leave days between Christmas and New Year.Excellent professional development & regular clinical supervision.What you'll bring:Relevant undergraduate qualifications in social work, psychology or equivalent.Post-graduate qualifications or training in Counselling or Couple and Family Therapy with an understanding of the Systemic approach.100 hours minimum clinically supervised counselling client contact.Registered or eligible to be registered with PACFA or ACA.Training and experience in working in an educational context with children in any of the following areas:- Working with domestic violence;- Parenting groups;- Children/Youth in groups.Experience working with individuals, couples and families using a robust Family Systems clinical framework.Strong understanding of family dynamics, child protection, domestic violence, mental health, and addiction.A calm, professional and compassionate approach when engaging with clients.Why work with us?Make a genuine difference to the relationship wellbeing of individuals, couples and families; every day!Work alongside people who truly care about what you achieve.
