This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated, experienced Counsellor at our Bairnsdale centre to join Relationships Australia Victoria (RAV).

About the role Reporting to the Centre Manager, you will provide high-quality, culturally sensitive counselling and case management for children and young people.
This will include group mental health education and community activities.
You will conduct intake and assessment for clients, and refer families to support services, as needed.
You will work with young people and their families/support networks from diverse backgrounds, including First Nations, those with disabilities, those in the LGBTQIA+ community and those experiencing homelessness, unemployment, substance misuse, school difficulties, family violence and trauma.
Your work will be flexible, offering services individually and in groups via outreach in off-site locations, including schools and early education centres.
This is a great casual opportunity for skilled individuals seeking casual work in the East Gippsland, based out of Bairnsdale.
Whilst this is a casual position, you can expect to be rostered on for three shifts per week during normal working hours (Monday - Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm).
The hourly rate range is $62.25 to $64.90 per hour, including casual loading.
About you Degree in social work, counselling, or related field.
Significant experience in working with children and young people and families from a child/young person-centred and strength-based perspective and in a setting relevant to the role.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proven organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage own workload to meet timeframes and job-related expectations.
Good all-round computer skills and literacy, having used the Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Word etc.
