To provide high level administrative support to the Mayor and Councillors to assist them in fulfilling their obligations under the Local Government Act 2020.
What you'll be doing: Provide general administrative support to the CFO as required including facilitation of divisional reporting requirements.Provide administrative support to the Councillors as required including meeting coordination, processing booking and payment requests.Support the delivery of the Civic Events schedule, through planning and administrative support.Support the planning and running of citizenship ceremonies, including attendance out of hours as rostered.Support Councillors' professional development by actively promoting learning opportunities, sector engagement and understanding of legislative obligations; and assisting in the coordination and administration of training programs.Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism always is critical in representing the brand, status and significance of the Mayor and Councillor positions as they undertake daily responsibilities and obligations.The skills and experience you'll bring to the role: Demonstrated ability to develop collaborative relationships and partnerships with community and key stakeholders.Experience in event management and delivery essential.Ability to deal with difficult situations, resolve problems and present a professional positive Council image.Demonstrated computer literacy skills.Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.Why Hume City Council?
