An opportunity as Head of Digital has become available at Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art (QAGOMA).
The Head of Digital will lead the implementation of the QAGOMA Digital Strategy, ensuring outcomes are of the highest quality to inspire and engage the Gallery's visitors on site and online.
The role will provide advice and recommendations to the Assistant Director, Development and Commercial Services about operationally aligning the implementation across existing digitally focused areas including Collection Management, Marketing, Imaging, Web and Multimedia, IMT, Corporate Services, and other key stakeholders to ensure organisational priorities are achieved.
The position is available for commencement in March 2025.
Key Responsibilities: Provide leadership, direction and management to the Web and Multimedia, Digital Systems and Imaging teams, and coordinate operationally with other teams across QAGOMA, as necessary, to achieve implementation objectives. Implement the Gallery's Digital Strategy including providing strategic advice to Assistant Director Development and Commercial Services about how digital technologies could be best utilized at the Gallery including innovative and ethical engagement with existing and emerging technologies. Develop, implement and review policies, standards and work practices related to digital projects seeking improvements and ensuring compliance with legislation and a focus on opportunities and risk. Manage the development and implementation of world-class digital and imaging capabilities to meet the Gallery's diverse programs. Actively develop and foster strong and collaborative relationships and as appropriate, represent QAGOMA in a range of forums to promote the Gallery in innovative ways. Lead the provision of digital asset management advice and services, including 3D imaging, publication quality imaging; and digital asset storage for access and long-term archiving. Work with revenue-raising areas (Retail, F&B, Members, Business Development, Foundation, Ticketing and others) to identify and implement e-commerce, revenue raising and commercial opportunities.
