Costco Wholesale Ipswich - Forklift Driver Availability: Must be available AM/PM, including weekend work.
DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES Operates stand-up electric forklift and electric pallet jack to move pallets of merchandising from inside delivery trailers to the receiving dock to be checked in.Completes daily forklift safety checklist and follows safety procedures. Changes out forklift batteries and hooks batteries up to battery charger.Stacks non-palleted merchandise and merchandise from damaged or unacceptable pallets onto Costco-approved pallets. Down-stacks and separates mixed item pallets for checking.Wraps pallets of double received goods with plastic wrap and moves into rows of stacked pallets for transport to the floor or steel by merchandising drivers.Loads merchandise and empties pallets to be shipped out onto trucks.Follows proper Receiving and general safety and security procedures and standards.Assists in other departments of the warehouse as necessary.Provides prompt and courteous customer service to members, employees, and suppliers.POSITION REQUIREMENTS Competency Statement(s) Communication: Articulates information, both verbally and in writing, in a way that can be easily understood by employees, members, and suppliers.
