Cost Manager About Inland Rail The Inland Rail Program is a 1600km rail infrastructure project stretching from Brisbane to Melbourne incorporating new and existing rail track.
The program includes the upgrading of existing standard gauge track, the enhancement of existing standard gauge track to cater for double stacking and the construction of new standard gauge links comprising of viaducts, tunnels, rail track, crossings and bridges.
More information relating to the project can be found here: Inland Rail About the opportunity As the Cost Manager for the Albury to Parkes (A2P) projects on Inland Rail, you will be responsible for managing baseline costs, trend and change management, and forecasting and budgeting inputs across both enhancement and greenfield construction works.
Based in the Sydney CBD and reporting to the Project Controls Manager you will update and maintain the PRISM G2 cost management tool to ensure accuracy of information and timeliness of reporting.
Key responsibilities will include: Interface with finance, estimating, planning and engineering to ensure consistent and accurate cost reporting.Capture and analyse commitments and actuals, providing any cost variance analysis and commentary as required.Populate monthly forecasts aligned to the project schedule activities to meet reporting calendar deadlines.Update and maintain project change management requirements identifying any potential opportunities or risks to the project.Prepare overall cost report and earned value analysis for the monthly progress report.Provide contingency drawdown analysis for the project management team.
About you To ensure success in this position, applicants will be able to demonstrate: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Finance or equivalent.Demonstrated experience in a similar role, ideally within major infrastructure projects.Experience in large project-based finance systems such as Oracle, SAP or Ci Financials.Excellent attention to detail and prioritisation skillsWell-developed communication and interpersonal skillsAdvanced MS Office skills.
