Your role will be crucial in shaping our responses and overcoming operational challenges, making a tangible impact on our projects from the start.Core ResponsibilitiesIdentify and analyse factors affecting costs (production time, materials, overheads, labor).Read blueprints and technical documents for precise cost estimates.Collaborate with engineers, clients, and contractors to gather information.Calculate and adjust estimates to ensure accuracy.Recommend cost-optimisation strategies.Support sales teams with estimates, bids, and proposals.Maintain detailed records of costs and market research.Deliver excellent customer service throughout the product realization process.Manage bid processes, project coordination, and reporting.Develop estimation benchmarks, tools and identify sales opportunities.Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.Skills & Qualifications:Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Metal Fabrication - Estimator or related field.Strong technical knowledge of metal fabrication processes and equipment.Proficiency in mathematical calculations and software (CAD, spreadsheets).Previous experience in metal fabrication or a related field.Excellent communication, attention to detail, and negotiation skills.Understanding of industry regulations and standards.Schlam is a leading supplier of Mining Dump Truck Trays and Buckets, renowned for our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
