About the role Are you a proactive financial professional with a passion for cost control and strategic financial reporting? Join JFD Australia in Bibra Lake, WA as a Cost Controller and play a vital role in delivering financial oversight and cost management for our projects across Australian business lines.
Primary duties include: Project Financial Oversight : Conduct month-end variance analysis on project financials, collaborate with project teams on estimates, and ensure costs align with Estimate at Completion (EAC) targets. Reporting and Documentation : Prepare monthly management reports, customer invoices, and internal/external project reports. Ensure timely documentation and submission for efficient working capital. Financial Insights : Support business managers with profitability analysis, budgeting, and cost control. Provide audit support for long-term contract financial reporting. Knowledge, Skills & Experience Experience in a cost controller or project accountant role or similar. Tertiary qualifications in Commerce / Business (or similar). Professional Membership of Accountancy body, or equivalent commercial experience. Advanced computer literacy skills – Strong proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Microsoft Excel. Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills with systematic and practical approach to problem solving. Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately analyse and substantiate financial data. Demonstrated experience prioritizing workload and meeting deadlines. Highly effective communication skills and ability to develop and present management reports at all levels, including presentations to senior leaders across the group. Why work for JFD?
