THE ROLE
Due to continued growth, we are currently seeking a Cost Controller to join our Projects Controls team. This full-time permanent position is based at our Perth head office and is responsible for:Setting up and maintaining cost budgets for projects based on tender submissions and estimatesPreparation of internal and client invoicing and supporting documentationMaintain all cost commitments, including review of internal and third-party costsPrepare monthly cost forecasts and assist in producing monthly Contract Status ReportsProvide cost control support and assistance, including project close out and lessons learnt reviewsInput client variations and maintain current contract value and budgetsReview of requisitions and commitments for compliance to project cost codingPrepare consolidated project invoicing forecastsCloseout projects upon completionAssist with office and site timekeeping systems and reporting
ABOUT YOU
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:Tertiary qualification in finance/accounting, engineering, project management, or related disciplinePost-graduate experience in a cost controller or similar roleUnderstanding and application of project cost management principlesStrong data and communications skillsDemonstrated ability to maintain quality and attention to detail when working to deadlines in a fast-paced and changing environment.High levels of computer literacy including Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and reporting systems like Pronto, Power BI, Tableau, and Microsoft Office suite.Active participation in departmental goals, objectives, and projectsExperience working for a construction contractor in the mining/resources industry is highly desirable
