About the Role: UGL is seeking an experienced Cost Controller to join our existing project team on site, based in Kwinana.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing and tracking project costs, ensuring adherence to budgets, and supporting the Project Controls and Execution teams to deliver on project goals.
This role will commence in November 2024, and work a Monday – Friday Roster.
Key Responsibilities: Cost Management : Compile incisive weekly and monthly cost reports, keeping tabs on project performance vs budget and spotlighting variances.
Change Management : Handle and manage variations and change requests, adhering to the approved change management framework.
Client Claims : Develop meticulous monthly cost impact claims and liaise with the client for approval.
Timekeeping Accuracy : Examine and reconcile weekly timesheets with gate data to ensure precise labour cost tracking.
Procurement Support : Issue Material Requisitions (MRs) adhering to UGL's procurement policies and ensure prompt and precise goods receipting.
Vendor Management : Supervise vendor invoicing, ensuring swift and accurate processing.
Month-End Reporting : Facilitate with month-end tasks comprising hours accruals, cost accruals, journal entries, and forecasting.
Team Collaboration : Furnish cost control aid to the Project Controls Coordinator and the wider project team as required.
About You: To excel in this role, you will need: A minimum of 5 years' experience in cost control, project accounting, accounts payable, or payroll roles.
Proficiency in SAP and advanced skills in the MS Office suite, notably Excel and Word.
Comprehensive understanding of procurement and finance processes, including requisitions, purchase orders, goods receipting, and cost reporting.
Excellent attention to detail and robust analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to weave collaborations with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
