Cost Accountant

The role  Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Cost Accountant will be responsible for optimising cost control, supporting manufacturing operations and driving profitability, working closely with cross-functional teams, providing critical insights, and enhancing financial decision making processes.
Key responsibilities Develop, maintain, and analyse cost accounting systems for manufacturing and mining operationsPrepare cost variance reports and provide actionable recommendations to improve cost efficiencyCollaborate with operations teams to track, analyse, and forecast production costsMonitor and analyse inventory, raw material costs, WIP, and finished goods to ensure accurate financial reportingSupport budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis for cost-optimisation projectsContribute to the continuous improvement of cost accounting processes and systems About you Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA/CA qualification preferred)Proven experience in cost accounting within the manufacturing or mining sectorsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with an eye for detailProficient in ERP systems and advanced Excel skillsExceptional communication and stakeholder management skillsA proactive approach to process improvement and cost management  If this role sounds like you then click on 'apply now' or alternatively, please contact Mitch Roberts at CareerMode on ********  or email [email protected]
