The Opportunity
Due to ongoing growth, we are seeking a qualified and experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic, preferably with experience in Euro (Volvo) trucks, to join our Workshop team located at Gap Ridge in Karratha.
Our busy Workshop is staffed with highly skilled tradespeople, fostering a great team culture and an excellent work environment. Reporting to the Workshop Manager, this role involves servicing, repairing, and maintaining our fleet of late-model Volvo Road Trains, with opportunities to work on our road and civil earthmoving equipment.
This is a full-time, permanent position, offered as either a residential role in Karratha or FIFO from major capital cities within Australia.
Role Requirements
Experience servicing and repairing heavy automotive and mobile plant Component rebuilds experience; prior work on European trucks and mobile plant is preferred Willingness to work overtime and be on-call as needed HR licence, Forklift licence, or the ability to obtain one Strong teamwork and communication skills Ability to work autonomously or as part of a team 3-5 years of experience in a similar role Previous experience in a workshop environment Highly organised with excellent time management skills Ability to work independently in an unsupervised setting Capability to prioritise multiple tasks and responsibilities within tight deadlines Strong attention to detail The Benefits
