To help us achieve that, our fundraising activity aims to successfully increasedonations and raise our profile and impact. In this role you'll aim to achieve this and deliver impact for olderpeople in Scotland by providing leadership, insight and guidance to the fundraising team.
As a key member of the charity's management team, you will bring your professional expertise and high-quality peoplemanagement skills to develop the team to deliver their best.
Working closely with the Associate Director of Fundraising and Marketing you will develop and implement thefundraising strategy for corporate, trusts and community events income as part of the charity's overall incomegeneration strategy. You will manage, direct and support the team to meet ambitious annual targets whilstkeeping expenditure within agreed limits.
You will maximise income with a focus on corporate, trusts and grants and community and events fundraising.
You will support with raising the profile of Age Scotland with a focus on storytelling, demonstrating the impact ofour services and working closely with our Individual Giving, Legacies and Brand Manager to ensure allfundraising activity aligns with our brand.
You will work in partnership with colleagues at Age UK in the development and implementation of fundraisingprojects.
This role is a hybrid blend of office-based (in Edinburgh) and home-based work.

To help us achieve that, our Legacy Fundraiser will lead legacy fundraising tosuccessfully increase legacy pledges and donations and raise our profile and impact.
As a Legacy Fundraiser you will raise awareness of the importance of legacies to our work showing the impact and thedifference these make to older people now and in the years to come. You will lead the delivery of plannedactivities and promotion of legacy fundraising to achieve income targets and increase legacy pledges.

Care and Repair Edinburgh (CRE) is an independent charity who have been serving Edinburgh's older and disabledcommunity since 1985 and regularly complete over 6,000 jobs every year in homes across the city.
CRE offer a range of practical services to help older and disabled people repair, improve or adapt their property sothat they may remain independent at home for as long as possible.
The Charity is a financially stable and viable organisation and has gone from strength to strength particularly overthe past 5 years.
We are now looking to recruit a new Chair and additional Trustees with an range of skills and experience to supportthe direction of the organisation. Candidates skilled in Third Sector Leadership, Business Management, Finance,Marketing and Social Media, Charity Law, Social Care or Reablement would be of particular interest.
CRE welcome candidates who do not have Board experience as full induction and training will be provided.
As a Trustee, you will be responsible for the strategic direction, control and accountability of the Charity ensuringthat its activities are in the interests of its beneficiaries. Trustees are also responsible for confirming theorganisation complies with its governance, charity law, company law and any other relevant legislation orregulations.
The board meets quarterly in Edinburgh (February, May, August and November), either face-to-face, via video chat, oras a hybrid of the two plus an additional AGM. Aside from the quarterly board meetings, additional timeconsideration is required to allow for reading of relevant papers, follow up on any action points, and attendingoccasional additional meetings, events, or strategy days. The average total time commitment is approximately 1-2days per month for Trustees and 2-3 days per month for the Chair.
As a voluntary position, Trustees are not paid but travel and other expenses for attendance at meetings arereimbursed in line with CRE policy. As a local, inclusive charity we are keen this diversity continues to bereflected in our Board.
