About this role
Join our high performing and supportive Melbourne Corporate Tax team, where we unravel the intricacies of corporate tax, providing bespoke solutions for businesses navigating tax audits, international tax challenges, corporate governance, and mergers and acquisitions.

Key responsibilities
This role involves a mixture of corporate tax compliance and advisory work, including (but not limited to):
Research and assistance with tax consulting advice (such as tax consolidation, tax treaties, hybrid mismatches, Controlled Foreign Companies, withholding taxes, thin capitalisation, permanent establishments, AMITs etc.)Research and assistance with preparing advice and calculations in connection with international tax issuesAssist clients with M&A activities, including tax structuring and tax due diligence servicesAssist clients with ATO reviews, governance matters and audits, as well as liaising with the ATO to obtain rulings for clientsResearch and analysis of technical tax issues and preparation of tax reportsPreparation of company and trust tax returns, including consolidated company tax returns, for a wide range of large corporate clientsPreparation and review of tax-effect accounting calculationsAssistance with business development initiatives and proposals, including preparing for and attending meetings with clients Skills & experience Hold or studying towards a professional qualification such as CA, CTA or other relevant qualificationA self-starter keen to develop an understanding of client needs and "figure out the why"Experience working in corporate tax, either within a commercial or professional services environmentStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent client relationship and communication skillsStrong work ethic and a genuine interest in their clientsInterest in a career of lifelong learning with a focus on developing your knowledge and skills in corporate tax advisory Reach your remarkable
