We are seeking an experienced Tax Professional to join our Northgate team on a permanent basis in the role of Corporate Tax Manager. Reporting to the Senior Finance Director, APAC, this sole charge role will see you ensuring appropriate systems and processes are in place to protect the company from tax risk. This is a fantastic opportunity for a tax accountant with experience in complex, international tax to join a global organisation that is making a difference to the animal health sector. Your main responsibilities will include – Overall responsibility for ensuring adequate tax governance across the Covetrus business in line with ATO recommendations for Significant Global Entities.Identifying and mitigating tax risks, reviewing new tax legislation, and implementing best practices to safeguard the company's interests.Ensuring compliance with ATO requirements in relation to cross border issues including transfer pricing, hybrid mismatch rules, withholding tax obligations, repatriation of funds, thin capitalisation, and permanent establishment rules.Preparation of tax technical position papers regarding business transactions and events, and collaborate with other functions to provide tax advice on projects as required.Preparation of corporate tax calculations and supporting workpapers necessary for completion of annual tax returns for all Covetrus entities across APAC.Preparation of Quarterly and Annual Internal Tax Packages to support US reporting, liaising with US tax team as required.Managing annual FBT return process, ensuring information is kept up to date throughout year.Managing all tax effect accounting including monthly tax journals, and true up tax journals on lodgement of returns.Preparation of all necessary disclosures for financial statement completion across APAC, liaising with external auditors as required.About You Ideally you will display –
Tertiary qualifications in Accounting/Commerce coupled with CA/CPA qualifications.Demonstrated minimum five years experience within a large, commercial environment (US multinational experience is highly regarded).Advanced skills in MS Excel.Confidence and maturity to own the tax function for the APAC region, work independently and prioritise your deadlines and project work in an autonomous fashion.Well developed interpersonal skills with an ability to adapt your communication to suit different internal stakeholders.A positive, proactive attitude with a focus on seeking out continuous improvement opportunities.Why Join Us?
