About the NDIS Quality and Safeguards CommissionThe NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission (the NDIS Commission) is an independent agency established on 1 July 2018 to improve the quality and safety of NDIS supports and services. The NDIS Commission is the dedicated national regulator of NDIS service providers in Australia and a non-corporate entity under the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013.The NDIS Commission is committed to upholding the rights of people with disability to employment and offers interesting and challenging roles. People with disability are encouraged to apply for jobs in the NDIS Commission.About the roleCorporate support officers have an important role in supporting our employees and stakeholders through a customer service focus and efficient management of each office. The advertised roles are based on-site in our Canberra and Melbourne office locations, and the ideal candidate will work at the office full time.The day-to-day activities of a Corporate Support Officer include a wide range of administrative duties that would suit a highly motivated individual with strong attention to detail and who thrives working collaboratively with others.Corporate Support Officers are part of the Security and Workplace Services team and have a critical role in maintaining a quality office environment. This includes offering general assistance to staff, collaborating with other teams to onboard and induct new employees, managing office supplies, overseeing mail distribution, and other day-to-day activities. The role also involves providing general advice on corporate processes and systems and working collaboratively with other teams across the NDIS Commission, including ICT, HR, Communications, and Engagement teams.Do you enjoy working with people and providing high quality services?The ideal candidate genuinely enjoys working with people and full-time in an office setting.You will also possess a strong background in providing administrative support services with meticulous attention to detail. You will have excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain productive working relationships within the NDIS Commission to deliver quality services. You will be confident in working independently, possess superior customer service skills, including a professional phone manner. Strong time management and organisational abilities are key, with the capacity to respond quickly in fast-paced environments, prioritising tasks using sound judgement. A practical understanding of change management and stakeholder engagement, combined with proficiency in the Microsoft Suite, including Microsoft Teams, is also required for this role.
