The Organisation
The Canberra Rape Crisis Centre (CRCC) is a non-government, feminist organisation
working to eliminate sexual violence against women, young people, children and men. Our
Mission is to be an active, visible catalyst for social change through the provision of
high-quality services within a feminist framework.
We provide confidential counselling and support for victim survivors of sexual violence and
their families who have experienced any form of sexual assault and/or sexual harassment
recently or in the past, and practical support for victim survivors who have experienced
childhood sexual abuse or ritual abuse, recently or many years ago.
We arrange immediate crisis appointments and provide a 24-hour crisis callout service
through the Forensic & Medical Sexual Assault Care (FAMSAC) and/or Sexual Assault &
Child Abuse Team (SACAT) services.
Our Crisis phone support is available from 7am until 11pm, 7 days a week.

The Position
 CRCC is seeking to appoint an experienced female identifying Corporate Services and
Administrative Officer to support the Leadership Team.
The Corporate Services and Administrative Officer is responsible for administrative tasks
including managing officer facilities, coordinating logistical support, overseeing the CEO's
schedule (including calendar management) and general office operations. Other
responsibilities will include vendor management, and maintaining compliance with corporate
policies. Additionally the Corporate Services and Administrative Officer will assist in
organising events, handling correspondence, and supporting various teams within the
organisation.
The duties
Under general direction the Corporate and Administrative Officer will:
? Organise the preparation and publication of annual reports, the Annual General
Meetings, and other key meetings of the organisation
? Maintain CRCC paper and electronic records and documents in accordance with the
organisation's procedures and legislative requirements
? manage multiple competing priorities calmly and efficiently and use initiative to solve
problems as they occur
? manage building maintenance requirements undertaken in line with contract
? identify and escalate issues to Senior Leadership Team members as required
? respond effectively to enquiries and provide routine advice as required
? develop and maintain external networks/relationships and collaborate with staff in key
agencies regarding joint organisational outcomes
? maintain the office's records management and correspondence including undertaking
electronic archiving and file creation
? accounts payable preparation for the external accountants
? manage and update all employee's personal development
? manage the filing of funding agreements
? manage and maintain CRCC motor vehicles
? update and maintain Corporate Services policies
? make limited decisions on behalf of the leadership team with respect to
administrative work priorities, office coordination and other administrative tasks as
agreed
? assist in the planning of the CEO's work priorities including assisting with time
management, travel and itinerary management, reporting and other functions
? work on projects as required which includes undertaking planning, coordination,
implementation and administration
Qualifications
? tertiary qualifications in business administration or a related discipline, and/or
experience in this field, and/or substantial and relevant experience in an
administration function.
? experience in managing corporate services
Special conditions
This is a woman-only position under s 34 (1) of the Discrimination Act 1991 and is a genuine
occupational qualification for the position.
Child protection legislation requires that the preferred applicant will be required to undertake
an employment screening including a Police check. Working with Vulnerable People
(Background Checking) Act of 2011 legislation requires that the preferred applicant will be
required to hold a current and valid "Working with Vulnerable People' registration as proof of
suitable employment screening and background checks
