ASR Recruitment is excited to partner with a reputable organisation seeking a skilled and proactive Corporate Risk Officer to join their team on a short-term contract. Our client is dedicated to upholding best practices in risk management and is looking for an individual who can ensure their processes are both compliant and forward-thinking.
About the Role
As a vital partner to internal stakeholders, you will provide comprehensive support by managing the corporate insurance portfolio, handling claims, coordinating asset insurance, overseeing renewals, and addressing information requests. You will aid in fostering a culture of risk awareness by supporting the ongoing development of the organisation's Risk Management Framework and assist with business continuity planning by coordinating impact analyses, documentation, and training.
You will also lead incident management for assets and insurance, drive continuous improvement in insurance and risk processes, and prepare regular reports for internal review.
This is a short-term contract, initially through to May 2025.
About You
You are a detail-oriented professional with proven experience in risk management, corporate insurance, or business continuity, along with strong communication skills.
Essential Skills and Experience
Qualifications in insurance, risk management, business continuity, or a related discipline.
Knowledge of liability, property, and general insurance processes.
Familiarity with risk management standards and a strong grasp of best practices.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience in report writing.
Ability to work independently in a high-volume environment while effectively collaborating with stakeholders at all levels.
Desirable Skills
Experience in large or complex organisations.
Membership in a professional body such as the Risk Management Institute of Australia (RMIA) is advantageous.
