About the role In accordance with Movember's values, the primary purpose of this role is to complete all corporate reporting requirements for Australia and manage the corporate reporting and compliance requirements for Movember global. Essentially covering corporate governance, fundraising authority and tax authority submission and requirements.
Some of your responsibilities will be: Financial Statements and Audits Compliance and Regulatory returns (Australia and New Zealand): Preparation of supporting working files and financial statements for Australia and New ZealandAssist in managing and answering audit queries.Preparation of total funds raised and pie charts.Reconciliation of general reserves and restricted reserves.Posting of consolidated journals.Review and lodge Australia and New Zealand tax filings and BAS.Prepare annual regulatory returns for Australia and New Zealand.Assist with the lodgement of annual returns and tax filingsFinancial Statements and Audits (Global): Ensure the statutory audits global are progressing in line with the agreed timetable.Escalate and consolidate any risks to the timetable or a clean audit opinion.Review Statutory account drafts for offshore Markets.Draft position paper for management as they relate to the consolidated statements of the group.Compliance and Regulatory returns (Global) Review tax filings for global markets for local lodgements.Manage and monitor the Global compliance program as it relates to Finance accountabilities.Monitor local compliance, corporate and Tax changes that may impact Movember, through the review and assessment of monitoring reports supplied by external provider.Provide technical accounting guidance to the rest of the finance team on items such as revenue recognition.Review balance sheet reconciliations and intercompany reconciliations.Manage the month end closure of the ledger and co-ordinate activities across to meet working day 5 financial reporting.Your knowledge and experience: CA/CPA/CIMA designation with at least 5 years' relevant experience in similar rolesMust have strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication and presentation skillsBe able to work effectively and flexibly as part of a team, including with colleagues overseasProficient using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Excellent attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlinesMust know and live by Movember's Core Values as well as possess a strong work ethic, collaborative and team spiritHave a positive, can-do attitudeStrong working knowledge of IFRS standards and their applicationPrior Experience in NetSuite (Desirable)Prior Experience in US GAPP (Desirable)Our employee benefits include: Flexible hybrid working from home and our modern Richmond officeFinish work at 2pm on Fridays (Dec-Aug)NFP salary packaging (pay less tax)13 weeks paid parental leave and 5 weeks annual leaveFun & collaborative culture with employee social eventsFree Headspace subscription and other wellbeing initiativesRelaxed dress codeDoes this role sound up your alley?
