What you'd be doing in this role As a Corporate Paralegal at Canva, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive legal support and guidance across various aspects of our business:
You'll focus on supporting Canva's global expansion efforts by leading the incorporation/maintenance/dissolution of corporate entities and any associated corporate legal workstreams.You'll also support Canva's tax, finance, accounting and treasury teams on corporate legal matters including KYC, audit and insurance requests.You'll assist in the support of corporate governance and compliance processes, including general record-keeping, preparation of board meeting agendas, presentations, resolutions, consents, minutes and other materials.You'll assist the corporate legal team with securities law compliance and filings.You'll work with our equity ops lead to support management of Canva's equity plans and capitalization records.You'll drive improvements and synergies by partnering with cross-functional teams, including People, Legal, Finance, Accounting, Tax, and Payroll on various corporate legal matters and processes.You'll assist the corporate legal team on acquisitions, financings, secondaries and tender offers.You're probably a match if You have 6+ years of experience in a Paralegal role, preferably within a fast growing SaaS/technology company; public company experience preferred.You are highly collaborative with a positive attitude, humor, humility and the desire to build, lead and make an impact.You have exceptional written and verbal communication skills.You have superior organizational skills, extraordinary attention to detail and a mindset that processes can always be improved.You are a self-starter and fast learner with the ability to operate independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment and manage numerous projects simultaneously under deadline pressure.You have excellent technology skills with proficiency in G Suite, Slack, Microsoft Word, Jira and Excel and experience with external data sites, board portals and subsidiary management databases.About the team The Corporate Legal Team works closely with Canva's leadership, Finance, Tax, People and Total Rewards teams across a broad range of projects, helping to empower Canva to meet its goals.

At Canva we value fairness, and we strive to provide competitive, market-informed compensation whilst ensuring internal equity within the team in each region.
The target salary range for this position is $121,000 to $188,000.
