Let's create a brighter future together, let's make a difference As a Corporate Lawyer, you will provide in-house legal, regulatory, and governance advice to Zurich's businesses in Australia, to enable them to achieve their strategic and commercial goals, protect and preserve the company's assets, and identify, manage and mitigate legal, regulatory, and reputational risks.
In particular, the role involves drafting, advising on, and negotiating commercial technology contracts and providing professional legal advice on a broad range of matters in the following areas:
general corporate and commercial lawtechnology, branding and intellectual propertydata protection and privacy lawfinancial services law including financial advice and distribution lawregulatory inquiries and investigationscompetition and consumer protection lawcommercial disputes and litigationPlease note this is a 12-month contract role and can be considered as a part-time role, 3 days a week.
Important to your success - let's grow together Recognised Australian legal qualifications and eligible to practice law in New South Wales.5+ years PQE experience across general corporate and commercial law disciplines working in a law firm or in-house position.Experience drafting and negotiating complex technology contracts.Experience working in and knowledge of the insurance and broader financial services industry would be advantageous.Ability to receive instructions, analytically assess issues and communicate advice clearly and in a non-legalistic way.Strong written communication skills and ability to produce a variety of documents that demonstrate command of language, clarity of thought, and orderliness of presentation.Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build and maintain trustful, working relationships at all levels of the organisation; able to demonstrate professional and tactful customer relationship skills.Belong.
