Corporate Immunisation Registered Nurse NationallyAustralian Vaccine Services is a national corporate immunisation provider. In 2024, we worked with over 100 nurses who completed over 140,000 Influenza vaccinations at our client offices.We are seeking nurse immunisers who are interested in providing flu vaccines in corporate offices and various workplaces during the traditional influenza vaccination window of mid-March through to end mid/late June.We have roles available in all major capital cities as well as regional locations. Although the opportunity may arise for you to travel regionally for work, the majority of the work we are recruiting for is based in/around where our nurses currently live.Contract Details:Contract length: Early March through to end mid/late June 2025Orientation will be provided during Feb to March 2025 (TBC)Hours: 20 - 40 per week, minimum of 3 days a week consistently (Days can be varied)Salary: $50-$60/hr, dependent on the number of hours and days available during weekdays, experience, and ability to do cold chain managementAllowance for cold chain management of vaccines and mileageFor nurses that can commit to full-time hours and meet our other requirements, we can also offer guaranteed full hour pay per week if they are qualified after discussion.Please do not apply if you are not a minimum of a Registered Nurse with a current Nurse Immuniser qualification for your state.Key Responsibilities:Administration of vaccines in accordance with the National Standards set by the National Health & Medical Research Council and the relevant state Department of Health, guidelines, and policies and proceduresTraveling between different offices/client locations throughout the dayMaintain immunisation skills knowledge, CPR, and Anaphylaxis training each yearMaintain immunisation records, vaccine supplies, and consumablesMonitor cold chain and storage of vaccines, reporting and managing any detected breach of cold chainEnsure all necessary precautions are taken to avoid any incidents or wastageCarry out all work in accordance with legislative, industrial, and organisational policy requirements and standards in the areas of Work Health and SafetyComplete all paperwork in full and return it as required under the management of the program, keeping paperwork in an orderly fashion and returning to the office within 24 hours of completed sessionsMinimum Requirements:Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)Current Immunisation Certificate valid for the state and/or territory in which you wish to workCurrent CPR certificate and anaphylaxis trainingCurrent National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
