Corporate & Commercial Secretary

Finlaysons is a leading independent corporate and commercial law firm in Australia, with offices in Adelaide and Darwin. We work with clients across Australia and internationally. Due to an internal transition, we now have an opening for a talented individual to join our team as a Corporate & Commercial Secretary .
This role, based in our Commercial Department, provides support to a Partner, Consultant, and a mix of senior and junior practitioners. You will enjoy a varied position, balancing traditional secretarial responsibilities with administrative tasks across our general commercial practice, intellectual property, and notary public work.
As a skilled office professional, you will manage essential functions to keep our high-performing legal team running seamlessly. Key duties include:
Typing and document production Diary and file management, with proficiency in a document management system General administrative support Monthly billing and invoicing In addition, you will have the chance to play an integral role in planning and organising an annual business development event for our wine practice.
To be successful in this role, you will need to be a team player with:
Advanced proficiency in MS Office A creative flair for PowerPoint presentations Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Strong time management and multitasking abilities A proactive and resourceful approach to problem-solving An ability to remain composed under pressure, showing strong self-motivation and initiative We offer a supportive and welcoming work environment that values, develops, and rewards its people - our greatest asset.
This is a full-time, permanent role, with occasional flexibility for additional hours as needed.
