Corporate Accountant

Our client is a well established provider of services and products to the resource and construction sectors.
The success and growth of the company has been underpinned by technical excellence in their products and a drive to unquestioned client service levels.
The Directors wish to support the enterprise's growth through appointing a Corporate Accountant who will work at a senior level within the accounting, finance and reporting team.
The Corporate Accountant will take responsibility for accurate and timely financial reporting.  Further, it is expected the commercial acumen of the appointee will be at the level where financial and project level risks can be identified in advance and tabled for discussion.
In addition to financial report preparation, the requirements of this senior corporate accounting position include:
Accurate capitalisation of assetsAssisting with annual budget preparationCash flow managementEstablishment of effective KPIs Monthly financial statements preparationOversight of the accounts payable function and adherence to A/P controlsOversight of payrollBAS, FBT, PAYG and other statutory reportingAssisting with corporate tax complianceImportantly, the Corporate Accountant will require superior written and interpersonal communication skills and be confident in team leadership. 
It is expected the appointee will have CA or CPA qualifications and a minimum six years of experience in financial reporting and control in construction, manufacturing or within a resource sector provider.
Alternatively, a minimum six years in professional practice in audit or tax and business services and an understanding of relevant commercial functions will establish a foundation for success.
