We are looking for a qualified and talented Corporate Accountant who has worked in a project-based environment. Reporting to our Financial Controller, you will provide support across all areas of the function spanning payroll, insurance, risk and governance, standards, and company finance policies across the Kapitol Group of companies.
What you'll do:Assist with preparation of Monthly Management Reports incorporating key KPI's including variance analysisAssist with statutory reporting and accountsAssist with annual budgets, financial audits, and business planning processesProject and month end closing processesSupport the preparation of bank reporting packsERP system management and maintenanceBalance Sheet reconciliation and analysisAdministration of General Ledger and Fixed Asset RegisterCoordinate and prepare tax submissions including FBTDealing with ad-hoc financial queriesProactively work with team to resolve queriesSupport the group with continuous improvementAbout you:A genuine passion for corporate accountingTertiary qualification in Accounting or equivalentCPA or CA qualification desirableCirca 3+ years' experience in a similar project-based accounting roleExperience with Jobpac or other construction accounting software preferredHigh level of proficiency with MS ExcelSkilled communicator – able to communicate complex issues with clarity and easeStrong interpersonal and stakeholder management skillsAble to prioritise, plan ahead and handle competing, shifting prioritiesWork well autonomously and in a team settingWhat you'll get:Investment in training with the aim to have the best trained workforce in the industryFree health assessments for all staffPaid parental leave for both primary and secondary caregiversFast-tracked career development opportunities and support our staff through mentoring, workshops, and retreatsIndustry-leading internal communication channels to break down silos across sites, allowing staff to share ideas, lessons learned, and other resources.Kapitol values diversity and aims to build an inclusive environment that champions, embraces, and respects differences.
