Fulltime – Permanent Term – RDO (monthly)Band 6 from $88,829 to $98,566 per annum (exclusive of superannuation)Opportunity to support and improve City of Ballarat's core enterprise systemsThe Role:Information and Communication Technology is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Core Systems Specialist to join our ICT Technology Platforms team at City of Ballarat.The role will suit someone with specialist technical experience in supporting core enterprise applications, backed with strong knowledge of technical elements of server administration and cloud technologies.The position contributes to daily operations and projects undertaken on core systems, including:Provide end user support for core systems including incident management and request fulfilmentProactive projects and changes to improve core systems and business processesCloud migration planning and activitiesImproving integrations between applications for seamless user experiencesAbout You:Successful applicants will require the below essential elements:Qualifications and Experience:Understanding and Experience with the ITIL methodologyDemonstrated specialist/technical experience in a Core Systems domain.Demonstrated experience in producing quality reports and operational documentation.Demonstrated ability to multi-task and to effectively manage multiple projects and actions concurrently.Ability to liaise with counterparts in other organisations to analyse and creatively resolve specialist issues.Some experience of strategy/policy development and implementation.Experience with local government is highly desirable.Demonstrable experience with hardware and software troubleshooting functions, including familiarity with using set procedures and policies to guide decision makingTo have an understanding of the following products, platforms and technologies:Infor's Pathway or equivalent ERPBrightly's Confirm or equivalent EAMSSQLServer Administration and ManagementMicrosoft Azure or equivalent cloud technologySelection Criteria:Qualifications and experience as listed above.Demonstrated experience as listed in the Specialist Skills and Knowledge section.Demonstrated ability to champion, model and promote the corporate values.Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, including a proven ability to communicate effectively with those of varying technical understanding.Strong troubleshooting skills, with an ability to learn.Experience working in an applications support role.To Apply:To apply for this position please click on the apply button and submit your application.
