Our Role
As the Purchasing Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting with the ongoing provisioning of the vessels, warehouse logistics and general office ordering.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Maintain product/stock codes in relevant software including liaison with suppliers. Raise Purchase Orders as required. Maintain office stock levels for stationery and amenities. Assist at wharf as required for ship turnarounds. Maintain records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices. This position is open to candidates based in Australia who hold Australian residency due to the nature of our business, with substantial Australian work experience.
What we are looking for: Proven work experience in a Purchasing environment. Knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating, and liaising with vendors). Experience with freight logistics. Great organisational and planning skills. Ability to perform tasks autonomously and be a team player. Eligibility to apply for Maritime Safety Identification Card.
