What you'd be doing in this role We're looking for a skilled Copywriter on a 6-month contract to join our Content Studio team, focusing on long-form educational and case study content.
This role involves creating clear, engaging copy for a range of projects, including Design School certifications, webinar scripts, and written case studies.
The ideal candidate has a knack for simplifying complex ideas into digestible, impactful messages.
You'll write, review, and edit copy across multiple channels, collaborating with a team of content creators, educators, designers, and marketers to ensure all messaging aligns with Canva's tone, voice, and values.
This role requires a balance of creative ideation and execution.
You'll be supported by a Creative Copy Lead and work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional content that resonates with our diverse global audience.
At the moment, this role is focused on:
Developing, drafting, and editing copy for Design School certifications, webinar scripts, and written case studies.Maintaining Canva's brand voice across all deliverables, tailoring content to different audiences while ensuring consistency.Working with cross-functional teams, including educators, marketers, and designers, to bring ideas to life and align on messaging.Providing thoughtful feedback to team members, refining copy and storytelling for clarity and impact.Translating company goals into meaningful, impactful, and measurable content that resonates with audiences.Juggling multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.You're probably a match if You have 4+ years as a copywriter, either agency or in-house, with a strong portfolio showcasing your ability to write for diverse formats and audiences.You have expertise across copy styles, from detailed long-form content to succinct, punchy messaging for social or web channels.You have familiarity with digital marketing conventions and trends, as well as writing for SEO, product education, and editorial contexts.You have a strong understanding of brand marketing channels and best practices.You're a team player who thrives in dynamic, multi-disciplinary environments.You have the ability to connect with audiences through compelling, clear, and empathetic storytelling.You have exceptional attention to detail, grammar, and style, with consideration for global audiences and internationalization.You're open to giving and receiving feedback, with the ability to clearly articulate and act on opportunities for improvement.About the team Canva's in-house creative team is on a mission to make Canva one of the most locally loved brands in the world.
