ADD VALUE - THE ROLE
In this position you will facilitate and coordinate the delivery of Council's medium to long-term strategic objectives as well as coordinate the Water and Sewer Team's asset management, development engineering, liquid trade waste, compliance and water education. This position will implement the projects identified in Council's Integrated Water Cycle Management Plan, be involved in developing revised Asset Management and Development Servicing Plans as well as contribute to Council's involvement in the state-significant Singleton Bypass and Lostock to Glennies Creek Pipeline projects.
Council's leadership development framework will provide the opportunity for your leadership skills to flourish. As a member of the Combined Leadership Team, you will participate in the development of organisational strategy for the delivery of Council's strategic direction, discuss day-to-day operations with your peers and participate in professional development initiatives.
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:
The application of your tertiary qualification to support extensive experience in strategy and/or compliance as it relates to Water and Sewer;Substantial experience and demonstrated ability to lead, coach and support staff, and contractors, to achieve work targets and objectives effectively and efficiently;Demonstrated substantial ability to identify and contribute to process improvement at an operational and strategic level;Proven ability to identify, collect and analyse information and produce meaningful, business-focused reports for sound decision making.It would be advantageous to demonstrate your experience with:
Meeting the requirements of the Regulatory Assurance framework for Local Water Utilities;Water and Sewer Financial Modelling;Software applications used in hydraulic modelling, asset management, financial modelling and project management.This position is offered on a permanent full-time basis working 35 hours per week with a range of remote and flexible working options available.
Remuneration package for this position is based on Grade 15 of Council's Salary System Protocol which equates to a TRP between $152,521 - $169,106 per annum including base salary, vehicle and civil liability allowances and superannuation.
