Join us to build a better Bunbury Are you interested in joining a dynamic team to lead the way for waste services in Bunbury? Our Waste Operations team is responsible for providing high-quality and cost-effective waste collection, waste education and public asset cleaning services for the local community and businesses.
This role requires you to coordinate the daily operations of the Waste Operations team. No day will be the same as you oversee internal resources and contractors, safety and fleet requirements, budget and project delivery, scheduling and long-term strategic planning. You will have a significant role in ensuring the successful delivery of waste services to the community and play a key part in leading the way for best practice waste management outcomes in the region.
Are you our next Coordinator Waste Operations? The ideal candidate needs prior experience in motivating an operational team to deliver a works program to a high standard. You will have a strong positive culture that leads by example and brings an innovative, can-do attitude to every task. You will need excellent organisational management skills and the ability to think on your feet.
As a senior leader your role involves embracing change and encouraging others to do the same. You'll use your skills to motivate, inspire, and create a supportive team atmosphere. Achieving this will require your consultative and flexible approach, along with your strong communication and interpersonal skills.
While not vital, a background in waste management will put you ahead of the rest. You don't need to have worked in Local Government, but you do need to have the ability to lead a diverse team and have exceptional project management, analytical and critical thinking skills.
