Coordinator - StrongBala Justice Program - Position until 30th of June, 2025. Wurli-Wurlinjang Health Service is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation delivering primary and clinical health care services to the Aboriginal people in Katherine and surrounding communities.
Wurli prides itself on delivering a range of health and wellbeing services to the community in a style and manner that makes clients feel welcome and comfortable. Services include acute and general care, chronic disease, men's health, alcohol and other drugs, social and emotional wellbeing and client support services.
The Program Coordinator role is responsible for the delivery, monitoring and reporting of the program in accordance with the Project funding agreement, which is working with Aboriginal men to build their understanding of the social, health and personal reasons that impact on their offending and on the things they need to improve in their lives.
The Coordinator role will ensure an action based and integrated service response to indigenous males from Katherine and surrounding communities referred to the program by NAAJA, Katherine Magistrates Court, NT Supreme Court, NT Correctional Services and local or community based non-government organisations or other justice agencies following periods of incarceration, detention or police contact. The Coordinator role will involve the review, updating, scheduling and cyclical delivery of the 13 week Personal Development Program (PDP) in consultation with relevant parties (a daily education and activity program). This position will also be responsible for the daily supervision of the service team in accordance with policies, procedures, standards, contracts and legislation.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate:
Diploma in Community Sector Management or equivalent recognised qualifications in the provision of Social and/or Community Services Previous experience in the coordination/supervision of a community services program Experience in the delivery of support and services to individuals Wurli Wurlinjang Health Service (WWHS) offers a supportive and team orientated work environment.
