With exceptional attention to detail, you are considered in your approach and are comfortable collaborating with a broad range of stakeholders.
About the RoleYou will actively contribute to providing a safe, inclusive environment that is free from sexual harm at the University. You will conduct external investigations of sexual assault involving students and investigate student complaints of sexual harassment. You will also play a key role in building and coordinating structures, systems and training programs/campaigns to support the University to effectively prevent and respond to sexual harm involving students.
Essential Skills and Experience Relevant tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or a relevant discipline and/or an equivalent combination of extensive relevant experience and training in organisational wellbeing and support service functions. Experience and understanding of survivor-centric, trauma-informed approaches to sexual assault and sexual harassment complaints and support.Experience and understanding of the impact of intersectionality in relation to marginalised and minority groups in promoting best practice in the response relating to all parties.Proven ability to exercise initiative, to solve complex problems and make recommendations, and sound judgement on when to seek advice.Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures, develop strategies, adopt a continuous improvement framework and prepare reports using data from a variety of information sources in order to advise senior management.BenefitsGetting a great job working with the best is just the start.
