Community Safety Our Community Safety team provides a highly visible and responsive Community Safety service in partnership with the community to contribute to a safe and secure lifestyle and sustainable City.
About the Position We are looking for an experienced, highly motivated community safety professional to join our Community Safety team as the Coordinator Ranger & Patrol Services.
Our Ranger and Community Patrol Teams provide visible and responsive community safety services and will be responsible for leading these operational teams to deliver engaging, intelligence-driven, and proactive services to create a safer community.
Team Leader Ranger/s and the Team Leader Community Patrol will report directly to this position with the Coordinator providing overall supervision, coaching, training, and development of the leaders providing advice and guidance for the team.
Key Responsibilities The duties of the Coordinator Ranger & Patrol Services will include but are not limited to:
Operational leadership of the team to drive performance through leading by example.Advise and guide the team on complex issues relating to state and local legislation.Collaborate across the organisation to ensure the provision of operations meet the demands of the customer.Proactively generate and implement creative and innovative ideas and solutions to improve service delivery and remain sector leading.About You The following qualifications and experience are highly desired, but if you do not tick all the boxes, you could still be a perfect fit for this role.

Post Graduate qualifications in business or leadership management, or substantive equivalent work experience.Certificate in Municipal Law Enforcement A & B (ROCS 1 & 2) or demonstrated skills, knowledge, or experience.Extensive experience in leading an operational field-based team to deliver positive community safety outcomes.Experience with the application of legislation including the ability to interpret and enforce Acts, Regulations and Local Laws.Current Driver's Licence.What We Offer The City offers great benefits including flexibility in when and where you work to ensure a work-life balance.
