An exciting leadership opportunity is available for a qualified professional with experience in managing people to join our Property, Revenue & Valuations Services (PRAVS) team. The Coordinator PRAVS provides a high level of customer service for both internal and external customers, in line with goals and objectives contained within the adopted Service Delivery Plan with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement. It is considered a leadership role within Council and particularly the Finance and Commercial service area - that helps drive best practice.
You will be responsible for: Providing leadership and direction to the PRAVS team.Developing and maintaining efficient systems and procedures.Overseeing accounts receivable, the financial hardship and debt recovery process.Coordinating valuation services and ensuring compliance with standards.Managing the generation of rate income.Maximising commercial opportunities and income generation in the property function.Building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders and customers.To be successful you will need: Bachelor Degree in Business or relevant discipline.Ability to deliver dynamic team coordination and to effectively manage, support and coach employees to achieve team and organisational goals.Demonstrated experience interpreting legislation, statutory/legal requirements and managing large databases.Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to liaise and negotiate at all levels with ratepayers, staff, contractors, managers and government agencies.Skills in advocacy, negotiation and conflict management.Highly advanced levels in the use of Microsoft products.Experience in Local Government would be looked upon favourably.
