Responsibility : Meet SGE 2025 election timeline, program requirements and delivery schedules Compliance with WAEC Occupational Safety and Health Policy in relation to materials handling equipment, staff induction, and general workplace safety. Key Responsibilities : Leadership - Manages the Commission's style guide, educating staff on its significance and proper usage. - Provides essential advice on community engagement, public relations, and communications to both the Executive and Commission staff, ensuring that all communication aligns with the Commission's objectives. Additionally, the coordinator directs, guides, mentors, and coaches staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment. Communications - Involves the development and coordination of both external and internal communications plans for the Commission. - Organizes non-campaign advertising, including statutory election notices and non-parliamentary election information. They produce a variety of publications, such as sections of annual reports, election reports, and election guides. - Identifies and prepares content for the Commission's website, intranet, and social media platforms, undertaking quality assurance to ensure the accuracy and accessibility of online content. - Oversee the creation of corporate communications policies and procedures, including updates to the Commission's Style Guide. Community Engagement - Develops and maintains strong relationships and networks with key stakeholder groups to enhance community engagement. - Collaborate across the Commission to ensure that services and programs meet the diverse needs of all electors, including those with disabilities, Aboriginal individuals, and those from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse backgrounds. Projects aimed at improving engagement with these communities are undertaken, and the coordinator oversees the development of corporate community engagement policies and procedures. Other Responsibilities - Contributes to the overall objectives of the Branch and actively participates in its activities. They are expected to work flexibly, taking on various roles and tasks to meet the Branch's needs and conduct additional duties as required. SELECTION CRITERIA: Demonstrated experience in strategic communications and/or stakeholder engagement. Well-developed conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to research, apply analysis and prepare communications strategies. Highly developed communication skills including the ability to negotiate and liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders; develop content for a variety of stakeholders; and ability to write fluently and persuasively in a range of styles and formats. Excellent administration support skills utilising Microsoft office suite and proficiency in using design software programs, social media, and content management systems. Demonstrated understanding of project management principles and methodologies enabling completion of multiple tasks simultaneously, in a manner that is self-directed, to achieve desired outcomes within timeframes and budget. DESIRABLE: Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience.
