Annual Salary between $102,312 to $127,419 (plus 11.5% Superannuation) Burwood Council is seeking a talented and dynamic Coordinator Media and Communications to lead our communications and engagement strategies while overseeing a strong and motivated team.
In this role, you will be responsible for shaping our media presence, fostering relationships with key media outlets, and delivering high-impact communication programs that align with Council's goals. You will manage communications across both traditional and digital platforms, ensuring consistency and relevance in all messaging, while providing strategic advice on community and business engagement to strengthen connections with stakeholders.
As the leader of a dedicated team, you'll proactively manage media relations and oversee the production of communication materials. You will also ensure our internal communications are effective, keeping staff informed and aligned with Council's key initiatives. Additionally, you will support the rollout of place-based strategies, promoting local spaces and events to engage the community.
We're looking for an experienced communications professional with a degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field, who has proven leadership experience and a track record of success in media management and strategic communications.
