About the Role:
Reporting to the Manager City Infrastructure, the Coordinator Integrated Stormwater will assist with the development and lead the implementation of Manningham's stormwater management strategies, including the Stormwater Management & Prioritization Plan, Integrated Water Management (IWM) Strategy, and the Climate Emergency Action Plan. You will work closely with the City Infrastructure team and other internal stakeholders to ensure that Manningham's stormwater systems and drainage infrastructure are well-maintained, sustainable, and aligned with the council's broader strategic goals.
Your role will involve leading a team of technical specialists and overseeing the delivery of high-quality stormwater services and projects. You will also provide expert advice on integrated stormwater management (IWM) developments and drainage matters, liaising with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure all services are delivered to a high standard. Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in securing funding for stormwater projects, managing consultants, developing and delivering our proactive and reactive drainage programmes, and ensuring compliance with state and federal policies and regulations.
About You:
You are an experienced leader with a strong technical background in stormwater and drainage engineering. You bring a future-focused approach to water management and have a track record of delivering complex infrastructure projects. Your leadership style is collaborative, empowering your team to achieve outcomes of excellence while managing competing priorities. You also have the ability to present technical information clearly to a wide range of stakeholders, ensuring that everyone is on the same page when it comes to critical water infrastructure decisions.
The successful applicant will have a tertiary qualification in a technical or relevant engineering related field, combined with experience in stormwater management, drainage engineering, or infrastructure planning. You will possess strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team. In addition, you will demonstrate a proven ability to develop and implement policies, strategies, and project plans, while also excelling in stakeholder management, working effectively with consultants, community members, and government agencies.
