Permanent Role
Paying $109,727.67 - $120,809.49 + Super
The Coordinator Insurance & Claims oversees Council's insurance program, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation through close collaboration with insurers, brokers, and claims managers. Responsibilities include managing non-workers' compensation claims, developing policies to minimize costs, coordinating insurance renewals, and providing budget estimates. The role involves conducting claim investigations, implementing risk reduction initiatives, and delivering training to staff on policy compliance. Additionally, the coordinator liaises with CivicRisk Mutual, provides reports on claim statuses, analyzes claims data to identify risk trends, and negotiates claim settlements where appropriate, aiming to minimize Council's public liability and property risks.
