This includes the integration of practices such as the Sanctuary Model of Care, which promotes the emotional, social, moral, and physical well-being of both staff and clients.The opportunityIFYS is seeking a Coordinator to lead the Old Church Youth Emergency Accommodation Program, based in Nambour. This established program follows the Youth Foyer model, providing safe accommodation and tailored support services to young people on the Sunshine Coast who are experiencing homelessness. The Youth Foyer approach focuses on supporting young people in their transition to independent living, with an emphasis on education, employment, and life skills development.Reporting to the Manager - Accommodation Services, the Coordinator will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Old Church facility, providing leadership and support to a team of Youth Workers while ensuring the delivery of high-quality, client-centred services.What's on Offer?Salary base of $97,300 per annum + superExcellent salary packaging options (package up to $15,900 per FBT year + meal and entertainment card options)Supportive and welcoming team environmentUnique in house training opportunities including Therapeutic Crisis Intervention training, Preventing Child Sexual Exploitation and Sanctuary trainingFree access to the CALM Premium App + Flight Centre personal travel discountsAccess to the Employee Assistance Program (EAP)Key responsibilitiesProvide supervision, mentoring, support and consultation to staff, students and volunteersPromote teamwork, respect and a culture of continuous learning and improvementDevelop and maintain effective working relationships with a broad range of stakeholders and services, across a variety of sectorsMaintain record keeping, financial, human resources and reporting requirementsOversee the Property Management of the Transitional Housing PropertiesWork within and promote a culturally safe, trauma informed, therapeutic environment for both staff and clientsSkills and requirementsExperience in a Coordinator role within homelessness, transitional housing, or similar servicesAbility to provide supervision, mentorship, and support to staff and studentsCommitment to working in a client-centred, strengths-based, and trauma-informed frameworkExceptional relationship-building skills with clients, staff, and external stakeholdersExcellent administrative and organisational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple prioritiesA high level of computer and systems literacyTertiary qualification in a related field (desirable)Must hold or be willing to obtain if successfulValid driver's license with no restrictions, and own reliable transportQLD Working with Children Check (Paid Blue Card)Licensed Care Service Suitability Check (LCS2)National Criminal History Check (a new check will be conducted through IFYS systems)#J-18808-Ljbffr
