Coordinator | Outside School Hours Care | Helensvale The Y, Queensland has many services tailored to the needs of the communities including Schools' Breakfast Program, Vocational Schools, Cancer Survivors Program, Community Centres, Affordable Housing, Youth Mentoring and more.
One of the many services that we are very proud to provide for the community is our Outside School Hours Care Service with more than 50 services across Queensland.
We are currently recruiting for a Coordinator on a Full-Time basis to join our team at our YMCA Helensvale Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) service. Your workspace at the Y YMCA Helensvale Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) is situated at Helensvale State Primary School
Our service offers a wide range of fun, stimulating and appropriate programs that reflect real world experiences and home settings. This helps encourage a sense of community amongst the children, facilitates leadership skill development and allows your child to practice social skills in a supported and caring environment.
Our service philosophy prioritises community and belonging, children's agency and the importance of spontaneous, multi-age play in middle childhood. We offer a range of planned and spontaneous play experiences for children and welcome educators with unique skill sets to share with children.
YMCA also offers an excellent employee benefits program that includes: Career Coaching and Career pathway programs Excellent support network with marketing, accounts, operations, safeguarding and other departments Administration hours off the floor to support your professional growth and development Split shift allowance payments and paid team meetings Free YMCA gym membership; Discounted rates at our childcare facilities; Discounted rate on health care through Medibank Private; Discounted accommodation rates at the George Williams Hotel; A range of online benefits through our online employee discounts and benefits program.  As an OSHC Coordinator you will assist with:  The development of quality programs; Manage the day to day running of the programs; Coordinate staffing and rostering of staff; Ensure compliance with policy; Undertake administrative requirements; Work collaboratively with families and the school community SELECTION CRITERIA:  Completed (or close to completion) of relevant qualifications in Childcare or Teaching (Minimum of Diploma in Children Services); Demonstrated experience in assisting with programming and a passion for providing quality childcare; Demonstrated experience in maintaining effective administration and correct documentation in an OSHC service; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain; Certificate of Suitability to work with Children and Young People (Blue Card) or willingness to obtain.
