The NEC Works Coordinators are responsible for the design and on-site physical establishment of NEC areas by providing their expertise in the Powerlink safe systems of work to the Regulated, Non Regulated and Major/Mega Projects from Cairns to Barcaldine, far Western Queensland and down to the NSW border on the Gold Coast.Your expertiseAdvanced Diploma or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering.Gained Recipient of Access and Test Permits (Recipient).Electrical Work Licence (Queensland) - Electrical Fitter and/or Mechanic or Electrical Linesperson.Significant experience in electrical construction in a High Voltage Environment (substation and/or transmission lines).Current Qld "C class" Drivers Licence (manual).We'd also love you to have:Significant demonstrated experience in the planning and construction of high voltage electricity networks.Well versed in high voltage power systems particularly in the area of making work areas available in existing substations using authorities under NEC procedures.Recognised as an on-site expert in the provision of safe access for the purposes of building new or refurbishment of existing high voltage infrastructure.Effective application of safe systems of work, resulting in safe outcomes and/or performance improvement.Provide technical leadership and coaching to staff and contractors regarding high voltage infrastructure construction works.Be the start of every possibilityTo kick start your career at Powerlink, apply by clicking the button above, attaching your resume and cover letter on our careers page before midnight on Thursday, 22 August, 2024.
