Kestrel is one of the world's largest producing underground coking, or metallurgical coal mines and produces around 7 million tonnes of metallurgical coal annually.
Our coal is shipped to key markets in Asia and Europe to be used in the steel making process.
The mine is located in the Bowen Basin, approximately 40km Northeast of Emerald in Central QLD.
Our team's capability covers the entire mining process, from development to extraction and processing, environmental management and sustainable rehabilitation.
We have an approved life of mine until 2033 and reserves to 2046 with the potential to increase further.

About the opportunityWe are committed to continuous improvement and as a result we are seeking interest for 2 newly created Drilling Coordinators to commence in January 2025.
These opportunities are based at Kestrel Mine located just outside of Emerald in Central Queensland and will be working a 7/7 dayshift rotating roster.
In these roles, you will be reporting to the Superintendent Geology and will be responsible for overseeing the coordination of a pre and post gas drainage drilling, mine service holes and exploration holes.
You will require strong leadership skills along with a deep understanding of drilling techniques and associated supporting process.
